Dementia

Dementia And Caring For Our Loved Ones

Caring for a loved one with dementia poses many challenges for families and caregivers.

People with dementia from conditions such as Alzheimer’s and related diseases have a progressive biological brain disorder that makes it more and more difficult for them to remember things, think clearly, communicate with others, and take care of themselves. In addition, dementia can cause mood swings and even change a person’s personality and behaviour.

I have personal experience with family members as well as in my career with individuals with dementia . I can help with referrals and with your coping with the individual during this difficult time. We need to take care of ourselves as well as the loved one.

Please feel free to share as little or as much as you can so I can help you cope with a new diagnosis or referring you loved on to available resources.

This can be done by way of zoom , email or on the phone.

A safe space to be seen, heard and validated.
